The European Club of Intermodal Regions and Cities, in partnership with SNCF Mobilités, is organising a technical tour on intermodality in the Pays de la Loire region in France.
Starting from the Angers metropolitan area this visit is an opportunity to discover the regional intermodality plan programmed by the regional council, which holds a leading role in the implementation of intermodality and the development of complementary transport modes on its territory

The two-day technical tour will place in the spotlight recent and future developments of the regional intermodal passenger transport network and will include:
- new routes
- timetable synchronisation
- user-friendly approaches
- pricing policy
- new intermodal train stations in Châteaubriant, Angers, Sablé-sur-Sarthe and Ancenis
- Nantes' future railway station; the TGV-TER 'tangent' to facilitate inter-regional mobility
- Park-and-ride
- a bicycle mobility plan
- a bike-sharing scheme
- car-sharing
- carpooling
- new pedestrian layouts
