Modernisation from Bulgarian city Plovdiv to Greek and Turkish border have been completed

Modernisation of line between Plovdiv to Turkish borders have been completed.
This work is part of modernisation of Corridor IV and IX.
European Corridors IV and IX are very important for Hellenic region because they are part of the trip from Greece to Central Europe. In modernized part of the line passenger trains can operate up to 160 km/h and freight trains up to 120km/h.
 Moskovski noted that modernisation will continue in northern Bulgaria, on Mezdra – Gorna Oryahovitsa, Ruse – Varna, Vidin – Sofia rail sections. Varna is one of the most famous ports of Black sea and its a passage from Balkan region to Russia.
