Stanley Black & Decker encourages employees to use sustainable modes of transport

As part of its CSR Strategy, Stanley Black & Decker has set the ambitious target of reducing its carbon footprint intensity by 20 percent by 2020, compared to the 2015 baseline. The company’s MOBILITYACTION is one of the ways the team is working toward this goal.
From 16-22 September, in parallel with nearly 2,800 towns and cities participating in EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK 2018, Stanley Black & Decker organised a week of activities across 34 locations in 15 countries, which saw 7,000 employees participating in the week.
The company is now also working with some local governments and public authorities to improve public transportation to their workplaces, and ensuring sustainable mobility is taken into consideration when tendering for logistics companies, with a preference for rail freight over road freight.
