Shift2Rail is the first European rail Public Private Partnership tasked with developing strategically focused research and innovation (R&I) and market - driven solutions, integrating these to create the railway system of the future. Shift2Rail is promoting the competitiveness of the European rail industry and ensuring the attractiveness of rail as a safe and sustainable low carbon transport mode. This in order to meet the changing transport/mobility needs of EU citizens and the economy.
The Shift 2Rail Joint Undertaking announces the publication of the 2018 S2R call for proposals with a closing date 24 April 2018. With 18 topics of which 7 are open to S2R members and 11 to non members, this call is expected to raise high interest in the transport community and further improve the work already undertaken so far to reach the Programme objectives.
