Lot of efforts have been given in rail braking power usage. Using re-generative power reduces the energy consumption of a train and the temperature inside the tunnels.
Now, a new solution comes from Maxwell Technologies. Maxwell Technologies announced energy storage ultracapacitors installed inside Beijing Metro. This new partnership between Maxwell and CRRC's Qingdal Sifang Rolling Stock Research Institute announced last year and they are working together "to bring more solutions to market as China strives for improved rail efficiencies and reduced carbon emissions" as CRRC-SRI Chairman said.
This new solution proves that railways keep the good way for efficient and sustainable transport in planet.
