A total of nearly € 45 million is being prepared for the construction of 500 quick and 800 standard recharging stations.
At the beginning of August, the European Commission approved the allocation of almost € 45 million for the construction of recharging and refuelling points for low-emission vehicles. State support should be used over the next six years to build a network of stations for vehicles powered by electricity, CNG, LNG, hydrogen or other environmentally friendly alternative fuels. The network of stations should grow throughout the entire Czech Republic.
The Ministry of Transport will administer the financial support for the construction of the charging stations under the subsidy program from the Operational Program Transport, program calls will be announced by mid-October. The aim of this program is to fulfil the objective of the National Action Plan for Clean Mobility, in which the Ministry of Transport was actively involved.
The National Action Plan for Clean Mobility count on the creation of backbone network of fast-charging stations (a total of 500 stations) and also define areas where they should be located - mainly in cities and on motorways. In addition, the action plan consider the creation of 800 standard recharge points in different car parks: even in business and entertainment centres, parking lots and public parking zones.
